A company is an organization that is dedicated to the production of goods or services to satisfy the needs or desires of the population. Companies can be classified according to the type of activity they carry out: agricultural companies, industrial companies, commercial companies and service companies.

The final products of an industrial company can serve as inputs for other industrial activities (capital goods) or be consumed directly by the population (consumer goods).
